Reviews and Ratings
The hotel is set in a beautiful location beside a loch in East Ayrshire, ideal for a wedding but slightly challenging to reach without a car. The rooms, although modern and well-appointed, lacked the option for fresh air and had no shower/bath, only a sink for washing. The dining experience had its ups and downs, with good service but delays in serving the meal; however, the staff were attentive and friendly. The outdoor area boasts a fantastic hot tub with stunning views, adding to the overall charm of the hotel.
I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The rooms were beautiful and very comfortable, with hot beds, dim lights, and gentle music – just what I needed for a relaxing stay. The location was stunning, making it easy to enjoy the views, although some areas felt a bit tired and the carpet in my room was filthy. The dining experience was top-notch overall, though the portion sizes were smaller than expected. Despite some minor issues, the hotel provided a great experience overall.
My stay at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms offered a lovely view of the loch with the snow-capped hills in the background, and the bathroom had a freestanding walk-in shower as well as a bath, which was great. However, the room itself felt a bit tired. The service was good overall, but there were a few areas that could be improved. The location was nice with beautiful surroundings, but some parts of the room were in need of attention. The dining experience had its highs and lows. The hotel facilities were satisfactory with room for enhancement.
